moving house

Hello, I have ET and am being very well looked after by the team at the Churchill in Oxford. Later this year I'll be moving house and the nearest hospital will be Addenbrookes. I wondered if there were any members who live near Cambridge and where they go for specialist care. Also if I wanted to, could I opt to stay with the Churchill where the team is fantastic, although it’s 100 miles away?

If I lived in the Cambridge area this is the Mpn team I’d have no hesitation about being referred to. They are some of the most knowledgable practitioners in their field. Hopefully the link below will work:

I second that - I have been under Addenbrookes care since January. The clinic is very busy, but they are experts.

Hi Ginevra. I live in Suffolk but opted for Addenbrookes hospital when diagnosed with PV 6 years ago as nearer and easier to reach as well as assumed reputation. I have received excellent care although be aware the dept is very very busy as it covers such a large area. CNS always reply to messages promptly and I have had same consultant for 5 years, albeit now on phone consultations.

HiI live in Cumbria and decamped from my local hospital ( no mpn specialist) to the Christie in Manchester - a journey of an hour and 40.

We are entitled to go to any hospital we wish as far as I know

Good luck with the move
