I'm graduating from college this year.

In the first half of 2020, the physical examination and blood test of the university admission exam were normal, and in the second half of 2020,I also took a physical examination when I was admitted to the university and was told about the abnormality of "total bilirubin".So in January 2021, I went to the hospital for a blood test, and all indicators were normal

I received the first and second doses of Sinovac's "Vero Cell" inactivated vaccine in April and May 2021.

I received my third dose in March 2022

In July 2022, I was admitted to the hospital for surgery, and the blood test showed a mild high platelet count of more than 500.

It is clear that I was first infected with Covid-19 in December 2022, but I am not sure that I have been infected since then

In August 2023, I went to the hospital because of illness, and the blood test found more than 500 platelets.

In November 2024, I went to the hospital because of stomach disease, and blood tests found that platelets reached more than 700. The doctor thought that this was an abnormal situation and asked me to come for reexamination after recovery. The platelet value was still 800 when other indicators were normal.

After a series of examinations, it was found that the spleen was large, reaching 11.9*4.4cm. Bone marrow related tests showed that megakaryocyte hyperplasia was very active, and the rest were basically normal, and the myelofibrosis grade was 0. So the current diagnosis is ET, and we are still waiting for the results of genetic testing

Yes, we are trending younger. 23 and me was offering free testing to us because they said ET patients were being diagnosed younger and scientists/doctors are trying to figure out why. I was diagnosed at 27. I don't know how long I may have had ET before that. I've had ET 20 years now and it has remained stable and I still do not require treatment. Oh and as a side note I also had a high bilirubin back when I was diagnosed but it has normalized over the years. They thought I might have Gilbert's syndrome which is pretty benign.

In case you haven’t already seen it, I found this presentation very helpful. It covers some research around the development of MPNs.
