Nottingham Forum meeting.

Hi. I just wanted to thank Maz and everyone involved in last week’s face to face forum in Nottingham. I was a bit reluctant to attend but am so pleased that I did! The speakers were excellent and the informal opportunity to meet with others with the same MPN was very much appreciated. I no longer feel alone or that I am being a wimp when those bouts of fatigue occur. Already looking forward to the next one!

Morning Maurabawn….just saw your message as it came through. If Maura is your real name then we share the same name…. I’m Maura too😂 and just turned 69. Youre not alone… I was diagnosed with ET last year and attended both the Belfast and Dublin mpn voice conferences, and as you say … excellent! Fatique? Know all about it and in my case aches and pains🙄

Thankyou for that! Maura is not my real name but close enough! I take Hydrea and baby aspirin and have developed sore joints mainly in my fingers and toes and tiny blisters on my tongue- the latest development! Think they are side effects of the Hydroxy- been on since diagnosis in 2021. There’s always something! Good to hear from you!

HI Maurabawn, thank you so much, I will pass on your message to the speakers. So glad that attending the forum has helped you and that you no longer feel alone. Looking forward to seeing you at the next one, or any of the others we have booked for the rest of this year, you are welcome to attend any of the forums, wherever they are, if you are willing to travel. Best wishes, Maz

Hi Maurabawn ,

I was there and it was my first too. It really was an interesting experience. Leaves you wanting more, I feel. I really found time in the breakout groups, flew by so quickly. The PV group was very small but a wealth of support x

I echo your comments to say a huge thank you to Maz, truly a great day.

First time I've spoken face to face with anyone with an MPN.

Take care,

Lynda xx

I add my thanks to the Nottingham team who gave up their time to support this and also to Maz and others. It was another very valuable forum and much appreciated.
