Neurology appointment

So grateful I get to push one thing out for a year! I still think my neurologist always looks so confused when I see him.😆. Showed me my scan and that one lesion (the most recent) improved dramatically. He and I both were surprised and I asked if that was normal behavior and he said no. He does not see improvement like that with MS, but he said he was happy!🤷‍♀️. Who knows, but I am thrilled I get to have a year off from something and take this time to be so grateful for everything and everyone in my life. Thanks everyone for putting up with my crazy anxiety driven posts! Everyone have a blessed week!

That is great news. Perhaps you really are seeing multiple benefits from your care plan. Long may it continue.

Maybe more improvements to come? Glad you had a great appointment and the don't need to for a year sounds positive.

Great result.

Has your Dr MS patients on IFN-B? If your Dr has never seen this happen, and has experience with IFN-B, it suggests that IFN-a may be a better solution.

By choosing either IFN-a or B I realize you're a successful case study for the "other" condition.

He has patients on beta. It was what he was what he was going to put me on til I came in and told him I started alpha. He made the comment on how safe beta was. Said it was his go to choice for MS. So, I feel like I could always have that choice in my back pocket and if it came down to it try the gamble in the opposite way. I think the old alpha has so many side effects and there are so many new drugs unlikely they would look at it again for MS. They original studies on alpha were in the 90’s and it worked then too. They used roferon back then in those studies.

I am just so grateful right now. I hope to ride this train as long as I can. I knew you would find it interesting. If I was going to a teaching hospital for the MS they would probably be peeing their pants!😆. But I am tired of tests, pokes, etc. I am glad my very experienced neurologist is past all that is so thrilled to see me doing well he didn’t really care how I got there. I will keep y’all posted but looking forward to a year off!
