I have bowel cancer along with my ET I want to bring on board an MPN on board for after care do I ask the haematologist or GP to do this

Thank you. You can ask the consultant who is treating you for the bowel cancer to liaise with your haematologist regarding your care, and it would also be a good idea for you to contact your haematologist to make sure that she/he is aware of what is happening. Best wishes, Maz

If your existing hematologist is not an MPN Specialist than you would be wise to seek consultation with a MPN Specialist. This is particularly important in the context of having another cancer. Others on the forum in the UK have reported getting referrals from either the GP or the current hematologist. Our UK friends can do the best job advising you on getting a referral.
