Hi folks

Has anyone who has reduced pegasys dose seen an increase in spleen size?

Thanks

Pete

No - I’ve been on a low maintenance dose of 45mcg every 4 weeks for the last few years and my spleen has remained normal. Last scan about 18 months ago but no signs of anything since then.

Thanks Andy.

I’ve been under a huge amount of stress in the last year and had Covid in the last 2 months so wondering if that’s had an impact.

Don’t know if those can be linked to an enlarged spleen but it’s worth investigating.

Interferon can have some effect on reducing spleen size but it might also be worth considering other treatments too. We’re all different so your haematologist is probably the best person to discuss with.
