best MPN specialists in NYC?

Hi everyone,

I have PV. I live outside the city - and I'm under the care of a local hematologist. I think she's good, but she's not an MPN specialist. I'd like to review my meds with a specialist.

Do you all have MPN specialists whom you can recommend enthusiastically in NYC?

Although I am a UK citizen I have a wonderful American friend living in NJ. He has PV and has been under the care of Dr Ellen Ritchie of Cornell since he was diagnosed. I am certain my friend would highly recommend Dr Ritchie. Hope that might be of some help.

I see Dr. Ellen Ritchie at Weill Cornell, Richard Silver MPN Center. I travel from DC to NYC to see her. All of the doctors there have expertise in MPNs. I would highly recommend Dr. Ritchie.

I see Dr. John Mascarenhas at Mt. Sinai in the city. My local Hem described him as “world class”. He’s very attentive during our appointments, very responsive to any questions in between, and I’m always very happy with his team (e.g. physicians doing intake). Good luck to you!
