The short answer is that anything that causes inflammation can cause reactive thrombocytosis. Spondylosis is an inflammatory condition. It is possible that the condition could increase platelet levels to some degree.

There is complexity to the issue of managing a MPN with a co-occurring disorder like spondylosis. The MPN also increases systemic inflammation. Some conditions interact and can impact how both diseases present. Many doctors would not be aware of the impact a MPN can have on the body. That is why it is so important for us to consult with a MPN Specialist.

Suggest you consult with your MPN Specialist to get a case-specific answer to your question.

All the best.
