Is it common for MPN patients to have kidney stones? I had one last week . So painful. I had never had one before and am 73 .

I had not heard of a link between MPN an kidney stones but did find this potential link.

While HU can cause renal impairment, I have not heard of it causing kidney stones. HU can raise Uric Acid levels so perhaps there is a link.

Suggest you review your question with a MPN Specialist.

I'm on my 4th bout of kidney stones, however my WBC and platelets are low.
