PV and elevated body temperature of 37.5

My dear MPN friends,

Every day in the evening, I have a slightly elevated body temperature of 37.5 (I have a normal temperature during the day). It is now the third week and I am very worried. I have PV and have been on Pegasys 135 mcg for 5 months. Could this be a side effect of the Pegasys, or would it mean my PV is getting worse.

I'm very worried while I wait for my hemtologist to get back to me, it's the holidays now so he's not there.

Thanks, Mazcd, I'll try with my GP. It is not that I can't stand it, It is just worrying because it last, and always in the eavning.

Or perhaps your haematology nurse. I always find them really knowledgeable and they can consult the on call haematologist if necessary.

The body temperature changes for most people because of the circadian rhythm although yours seems to be at different times. Checkout the article on Wikipedia

Thanks a lot, I'll check. Now it sems to me that it is because of PEG, since the week is at the end and this temperature is getting easier. I'll check everyrhing with hem, maybe I need a lower dose.

Rigors is on the list of Pegasys adverse effects. Perhaps you are experiencing some degree of this. However, it could be something unrelated. Definitely something to follow up with your care team about as soon as possible.
