Although my bloods came back good 2 weeks ago, I have developed in the past week red bruising on my left hand and lower forearm, I look like a leopard. Has anyone else had this and is there anything to worry about.

Hemorrhage is a known symptom for anyone who experiences thrombocytosis. the higher the platelet levels, the higher the risk of hemorrhage. Hemorrhage is also an intrinsic risk with aspirin or any other blood thinning medication.
If this is a new symptom, you MPN care team needs to know that you are experiencing it. They will need to review any recent changes in your meds and health conditions. Suggest you follow up with your MPN Specialist ASAP for the best guidance.
Do please let us know how you get on and what you learn.
I came off aspirin in March I am on Hydroxycarbomide 1 every other day, I will try and get hold of the secretary tomorrow, not an easy task, I only had face to face appt twice, One when I was first diagnosed and the next follow up. NHS
Hello Chez1947
Ask Haematologist Secretary tomorrow to provide you with all relevant contact numbers for Haematology Dept. They should have numbers for their patients to access during normal working hours and out of hours. And an emergency number.
I hope they sort this out for you.

Just spoke to secretary, she is e mailing consultant, I asked for a special number she told me to call 111 or my own doctor, 111 is busy all the time as for my own doctor, well you can never get an appointment let alone have a face to face, she said other than that go to A&E. I have seen my consultant twice in 3 years, the first time for diagnosis then a follow up 3 months later. I am 75 I feel like I have been thrown on the scrap heap.
Do hope you get some advice soon . How are you feeling ?
I had sudden small purple little bruises appear on arm a couple of months ago. No conclusive thoughts from gp or heamo . Consultant. They faded in two weeks.
Didn't seem related to blood count .
Hi, from time to time I get small red purple spots on the back of my hand and forearm. They probably measure about 3 to 10 mm. So far they last a couple of weeks and then disappear. My blood counts have been in range at these times. If they are smaller than this and you get a bunch of them it could be petechiae. Petechiae could possibly be a sign of a problem of some sort, I think they are a sign of bleeding in skin. I am not a hematologist so please check with yours.
I did take a photo with my phone and showed it to my heme when I had an appointment (they were gone by then) and they were not concerned about them, I don't remember what they called them.
You could take a photo with your phone and text it to them if they will give you a number.
Please let us know what you find out. Best to you.
My bruises are about the size of the tip of my little finger. I have a really old phone, II am old with it (75). My Heme did not get back to me, I am just left to stew.
