I have never heard of a do-it-yourself blood test for things like a CBC or CMP. Some have discussed in-home nursing care that did the labs. Necessary medical care like a blood test for MPNs was trickier to do during COVID restrictions, bit never impossible in my experience. Perhaps less frequent and with greater diligence in screening.

I’m also wondering about this, not so much for my PV related counts but more for what I could potentially be lacking ie vitamin and minerals etc.

Hi Jasbak22 thanks for sharing your interest in home blood kits for Myloproliferative neoplasm . It appears to be a tricky issue that links for us all to how well our NHS providers cope with individual care plans during these CV times. Yes got a lot of love for the nhs they do an amazing job with very little resource or funding. My Pv was diagnosed privately as I was lucky to have private healthcare at the time. My Gp dismissed my high counts and told me it was all ok. Not a dig at the nhs but luckily I had private healthcare as I had no symptoms apart from a swollen toe. I suspect private healthcare may have prevented me from an incident as my hametercrit was 61 by the time I was diagnosed.

Hi Jasbak you were fortunate there is no doubt we're all having to deal with the cards we have been dealt so the more modern medicinal innovations are available the better our outcomes will be.Thanks buddy for sharp reply.
