Hi Paul. Thanks for the posting. I didn't realise that there were 30 potential MPN drugs in development. That is hopeful for us all.

I had a consult with Prof Adam Mead about a month ago. For those who haven’t come across him he is a top UK MPN specialist.

When I first saw him about 4 years ago he was quite dismissive re the disease modifying potential of drugs that were then in trials. At the time RG7388 (Idasanutlin) was causing a lot of excitement but he stressed that very early stage trails were a 1 in 10 long shot.

However last month he was the opposite. Very excited about the current pipeline of drugs and their potential to defer SCT. He is very focused on the data/small print so coming from someone like him is as positive as it gets!

The report is not specific, while encouraging. But your info here from Dr Mead is more specific. Thanks for the updates.

I see RG7388 inhibits p53, a basic cancer causing agent.
