This month Alice talks about bone marrow biopsies, and tells us about her experience of having her first bone marrow biopsy, and describes what it was like for her, a positive experience that she hopes might offer some reassurance to anyone who may be thinking about, or is scheduled to have one.

And on the day her results were due, she watched the presentation given by Dr Anna Green at the recent MPN Voice patients’ online forum, about bone marrow biopsies, and her first-hand experience of gazing down the microscope and analysing different bone marrow characteristics of each MPN. This gave Alice the chance to jot down some questions ahead of her consultation, and left her wondering if maybe Dr Green and her colleagues examined her bone marrow.
