Booster
Most of us on this forum have had at least 3 primary doses and one booster. And some of us have now had 2 boosters.I find it disturbing that your medical team are unaware of how far behind you are with your jabs!
Maz has posted notices on here each time a new dose became available for us. Have a look for them then get onto your surgery.
Good luck
Thank you I will have a look, only really come on here when I'm needing help I think I should come on more
Most advice I've seen for which type of booster is to follow up AZ with one of the two mRNA vaxes, Moderna or Pfizer. The Moderna will give you a larger dose, usually 50mcg vs 30 for Pfizer. Whether that matters is a good question.
Are some of your advisors suggesting another AZ?
Hi, I've had two AZ and two Pfizer. There wasn't a choice, it was whatever was available on the day. Also, I wasn't invited for the third primary or Spring booster, despite always receiving CEV letters. The system isn't working for many of us unfortunately.
I wasn't invited for any of mine but due to keeping up with the info provided on here, I was able to organise my 2 pfizer boosters with no problem..I'm in the UK x
My first 2 were AZ and I was so ill after for days. The second 2 were Pfizer and no side effects at all. Not even a sore arm. Obviously everyone reacts differently. Have my 5th on the 14th so I’m hoping that it’s Pfizer. Hopefully they won’t turn me away like some members have experienced
Pfeizer been fine for me
Had three primary jabs one Two Astra Zeneca, one Pfeizer, and last week had spring booster as they called it of Moderna, so looks like I might of had the whole range.😁
Are you in the UK? Boosters here are usually either pfizer or moderna. I don't believe AZ is being given as a booster. I've had 5 pfizer - 3 primary doses and 2 boosters. Pfizer just happened to be the ones I was offered at the time.
Not usually a choice by the patient unless medically contraindicated. Both Moderna and Pfizer are given as boosters and both are mrna vaccines that work in a very similar way. Currently a lot of centres are concentrating the Pfizer availability for children who are being vaccinated as they can't have moderna. What is the actual concern for your booster? You do seem to be very late in getting this.
I have had 3 Astra Zeneca and 2 Pfizer.
