Professor Clare Harrison is I believe your closet. I go to her from Kent. I see here personally every 3 months and a phone call from one off her team every six weeks. I was referred by my GP.

My haemo has agreed to refer me to her, gps said as it was out of area for them to refer. I will have to wait for bmb and spleen scan as she will ask for those. So may have to wait longer than I would like.

Good morning, I was given her name by one of the lovely users on this forum, I googled her and rang the number on her bio, the professor wasn’t there, I emailed the gentleman I spoke with and he forwarded it to Professor Harrison who kindly responded, I hope this is of help.

Hello Bear 111. Having lost confidence in my NHS GP, I consulted a private GP who was on the ball and quickly referred me privately to a consultant Haematologist in London. It was a price worth paying (but nowhere as unaffordable as one would imagine). The Haematologist correctly diagnosed my condition and advised that future treatment should be by the NHS given that the ongoing condition would be horrendously expensive to fund privately. Since then the same Consultant has treated me at an NHS hospital with NHS prescriptions.
