Hi! I recently found out that Hoffmann-La Roche discontinued Pegasys and the worldwide rights for it were acquired by pharma&. Does anyone know what new brand names it is currently sold under? Or any peginterferon 2-a alternatives available in Europe?

I see. This means that it was manufactured 4 years prior to the expiration date (2019/2020).

Suggest you look into switching to ropeginterferon 2b brand name Besremi. Approved in Europe for about 3 years and FDA approved in USA last November. It's the latest version of interferon treatment. Longer lasting than Pegasys, 2 injections per month, and maintains more stable blood levels. Worth a discussion with your healthcare provider.
