Diet - What to stay away from

Hi Guys

Is there foods to stay away from when having PV - I am vegan but some foods i eat , i get burning sensations and hot flushes throughout the body and not sure why

How long have the burning sensations and hot flushes been going on? Is there a consistent reaction to specific foods or is the reaction unrelated to foods? It is possible to have a subtle food intolerance of some sort that triggers flushing. You can get flushing (erythema) as a function of PV. You can get rigors as a side effect of hydroxyurea.

Bit tricky to figure out. Hopefully you can muster you inner Sherlock Holmes and put the clues together. Hope you get it sorted out ASAP.

hahaha thank you for that - i cant put my finfer on it when it happens - i dont know ifs its due to hematocrit or not

Stay away from Wine, alcohol, vinegar, tomatoes. They increase the itching.

thank you - i dont drink nor eat kak food - i eat vegan snitzel, salad and beans most days
