Hi, You may be wanting to socialize outdoors to avoid covid but it’s too cold. Before I left the cold weather up north in December we saw people wearing heated vests. I received an email today advertising battery operated HEATED VESTS. I purchased a cooling vest for hot summer months but don’t know if this is the same company. The email was from Thermovest and the vests were on sale from $140 US to around $70. There may be a few companies who offer these. Don’t know anything about the quality because I’m now where it’s warm & don’t need them. Hope these might help some of you. Katie

STAYING WARM OUTSIDE
Great idea, I might stick to whisky though, much cheaper 😜
What a great idea! Probably doesn't get quite cold enough on the South West coast of the UK where I live, but my husband and I do drink coffee outside cafes, wrapped in layer upon layer!
Used to be in Devon, not very cold but oh so wet !!! We have had warm sun & blue sky lately ,then cold nights, need to keep changing from t shirts to warm sweaters! Wishing you the Very Best for your future treatment. Will think of you.😀 Sally
Highly recommend Kenco Latte (sachets available) with Baileys ☘️. It works well in all weathers.
That sounds more-ish! Do you just add the sachet to a mug of warmed Baileys or add a drop or nine of Baileys to a cup of the Kenco latte?
Make the latte as directed but only half fill the mug and stir. Add as much Baileys as you fancy, then top up with the boiling water. I have worked out this sequence because I keep my Baileys in in the fridge and if you add it last it cools the coffee. Cheers and Slainte ( if you are lucky enough to have Irish genes☘️). Happy Christmas!
I haven’t seen heat vests, but have just heard about rechargeable battery hand-warmers. I was a bit concerned when one brand said theirs would not explode. DO the others?
I tuck a rubber hot water bottle in its woolly cover under my jumper if I have to go out in really cold weather. Wearing a mask does make me less wheezy, if only my glasses didn’t steam up.
I use heated insoles, I’ve very poor circulation especially on my feet, I’ve tried all sorts of socks and these are the only thing to work. L the technologies been around for years in outdoor clothing and just keeps improving, with the batteries getting smaller and lighter, lasting longer and being able to vary the temperature with an app on your phone. They’re great is your spending a lot of time outside!
That is the best and most helpful thread I have seen!👍🤣
Oooooo. Heated insoles! Now there’s something I have to look into👍
