Hi Friends! Do any of you have ET (no fibrosis) and have had a slightly high LD on any bloodtest? I am trying to figure this out. I am diagnosed ET but does not had an bmb. (sorry for bad spelling/language)

LD and ET
The short answer is that LDH can be elevated for a number of reasons. It can be an indicator of some sort of tissue damage. It is also associated with elevated leukocytes. Look at your CBC and see what your WBCs look like.
Mild elevations in LDH may be nothing to worry about, but best to review this with your doctor.
I am in the diagnosis phase myself. My platelets range 430-455. My LDH also came back normal, but high-normal (198, range 135-235). Out of curiosity, what is your mutation and platelet levels?
I had a few LDH tests in the past couple of weeks and it was slightly elevated once. I was just diagnosed with ET after BMB.
So yes, it is possible to have ET and an elevated LDH, but please insist on a BMB. It's the one and only possibility to reveal what's really going on.
Just looked back on my blood test results. Mine is above the high range. I’ve only found one recording so maybe it’s something they don’t test regularly for. I’m also ET.
No BMB and I am under a leading specialist. I’ve just gone through a few copies of my blood test. If I’m right EPO is the same. Hopefully Hunter will put me right.
I’m curious for more info now. Let me know what your heamo says please.
I have post Et Mf. My LDH levels were never tested until I changed to it an mpn specialist a year and a half ago. They were at 648. They have fluctuated ever since from about 275-over 800. I’m still unsure what it means although I have researched it. My doctor mainly focuses on my hemoglobin levels and my platelet count.
Ok! Thank you. Did it get lower by it self or did you change any meds?
Well, when I got diagnosed with MF, I was on Jakafi and Anagrelide from my previous hematologist. My new doctor took me off of both of those and put me back on Hydrea and a new medication called Fedratinib. I don’t know if you have read my other posts, but I’ve struggling with ET since 2008. I’d been on Hydrea on and off over the years. So in answer to your question, I really don’t know what causes my LDH levels to go up or down. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
