I posted a while ago that I was going to use my new found passion of painting dogs to raise money for the MacMillan Nurses who cared for my mum before she passed away with Covid. Well a member from this site asked me to paint her two dogs and I did. Unfortunately I had no sooner finished the paintings than I received an email from her saying the one dog had passed away suddenly. I was devastated for her and sent them as soon as the varnish had hardened enough.
Well this morning I woke to the news that they had arrived safe and sound and she was so over the moon that she hung them straight up without a frame! She has sent me a photograph but as I have not talked to her to ask permission I cannot post the picture.
The amazing news is that she donated a whopping $200 in my mother’s name to MacMillan. You don’t know how happy I feel that I have started my thank you to them with such a brilliant amount.
Hope you don’t mind me sharing my news

Thank you. I have no confidence in my work unfortunately. My friends and husband get very annoyed in my lack of faith in myself so this has really boosted my confidence. My plan is to get a collection done and then offer my paintings for sale. Keeping fingers crossed.
Hey you! I just finished reading your email. I'd love for you to post a picture of the paintings you did for me. It's funny that you are asking me because I was going to ask you if I could post a picture.
Anybody here who has a dog and would love a painting of them I highly recommend Jill. She was extremely easy to work with and stayed in touch with me during the entire process. The paintings she did for me turned out marvelous and she is painting for a great cause.
I did lose my best friend Dino a couple weeks ago and I am blessed to have a painting of him that captured him exactly as I remember him.
Not only has this board helped me deal with my MPN but I have gained a new friend in Jill. ❤
Unfortunately I done know how to add a photo once a post has been posted hun. Thank you for the lovely compliment and sending huge hugs to you and Castro xx
These are amazing Jill, what a wonderful beginning for your McMillan charity donations. You are really talented. So sorry to hear Clubdino lost one of her dogs suddenly. The painting will be a lovely memory.
