Morning all my MPN brothers & sisters...
Yes, and now the talk on Myelofibrosis (MF), as the third in the series of talks by Dr Ruben Mesa & Dr Robyn Scherber concerning the three (3) more classical Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (MPN) conditions. Many of you may already be well aware of all there is to glean about this MPN, however, there are always new people joining our rather exclusive MPN Club, and those who may be just starting out on their MPN journeys too...
Hi Steve,, did Dr Mesa do one on PV? I would be interested in seeing that. Also I got half way through the three talks from the Australian MPN Day seminar and then lost the link. Could you repost it please? It was quite technical but amazingly clear and precise. Many thanks. Mairead
That's the Australian one. I have appreciated all the talks by the experts but the Australian Prof Andrew and the Prof from Perth were in teaching mode for non experts and made the subject more accessible to me. So thank you for posting again. And am I right that the young man shown in the link above is a fellow MPN man who got all this together? Either way it was excellent effort. Very grateful. Mairead
Although generally fit and healthy as I approach 10 years since transplant my (excellent) local doctor assigned me to the shielding group in March as she wasn’t sure how my ‘compromised’ immune system would deal with COVID. I feel a bit of a fraud as I run 10k at least three times a week and cycle but have stuck with it. Being long retired we survive with online shopping, social distancing and extended family zoom meets. Recently joined a ‘bubble’ with sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter so we can babysit after five months of no physical contact. Am missing travelling and have cancelled trips but am still here! 😀
No need what-so-ever to feel in any way ashamed buddy... We are ALL living in a totally new model of Huxley's "A Brave New World" where an incredibly virulent virus is running loose, and ALL of us... (& especially those of us a tad more mature), require to take a few extra necessary precautions...
My 'Roller-coaster' ride of symptoms that I had thought to have eased considerably are now returned in some respects. Hence, I have just been out & about today after my GP suggested another Bloods ought best be resampled...
My vitals were in a downward trend two (2) weeks ago, but still just slightly lower really. However, I wish I knew why I suddenly feel so completely drained of all my energy reserves. It remains a mystery to me at present(?)
Hopefully, just a small blip along the Yellow Brick Road, and then back to the wonderful world of Oz... We have just started our Spring 'Down Under'. However, a last gasp of winter has just descended upon us for the next few days, and snow once again adorns our Blue Mountains...
Great to learn that you are doing some training too... I cannot run like I used to... (my knees won't let me). However, I am still cycling, (or was until most recently)... I am sure I shall regain my resources again very soon...
