Ocular hypertension is an eye pressure of greater than 21 mm Hg.
Yesterday I found that I had 23 mm Hg eye pressure, and I wonder if it is related to ET or Hydroxyurea?
Anyone deal with this? Thank you all.

It's supposedly to do with glaucoma
I had 24 at 1 point
Went to a specialist who checks me and keeps eye on it. I do not have et or take hydroxea but do have a lot of issues and sinuses one of them which im betting raises eye pressures too. I am jak2 negative but my mom had a macular hole at 50 in both eyes so I have that on my plate too, am 45
Research R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and Benfotiamine a fat soluble thiamine
I will have to take a look.
Thank you so much.
Also if your using HU is causes low magnesium. Water soluble thiamine requires magnesium to activate. A thiamine deficiency may promote neuropathic pain. So look at "krispin magnesium" and "mgwater" and note other causes of magnesium deficiency. The Benfotiamine is worth looking into for neuropathic pain and macular degeneration.
My eyes have been that high in the past but Ihave uveitis and it is a side effect of the steroid drops I put in my eyes. One exciting day the pressure went up to 60 and I am lucky to still have my vision. Once the ocular nerve is damaged it cannot heal itself and you never get that vision back to please make sure you follow the advice of your eye care provider. I often wonder if my uveitis is related to my ET or my jak 2 mutation, but my haematologist says there is no proven link and as both conditions are so rare I guess I am just very unlucky.
I also have pressure in the high Normal range. Found out about 3 years before diagnosed with ET.
