Happy Mother's day and isolation ideas

Happy Mother's Day for all those Mums and Grandmas out there. I. Hope everyone is staying safe at home.

I am trying to think about how I can make a virtue of this new way of living and so far I'm going to try to learn the guitar on you tube (my son has an unused guitar lying around), finally get a home fitness routine going (been looking at my yoga mat for months!), and get back into reading a good book (which will keep me away from the news). Calling it my isolation resolutions.

Has anyone else got some ideas?

Take care and stay safe.

Katherine

Learn a language on Duolingo

I have set up group chats on watsap with friends- great way to get together

I think Netflix is doing virtual group viewing as an alternative to movies

Hello to you - I am thoroughly socially distanced/isolated, but not a great hardship for me apart from being unable to look after the grandchildren + I will miss not swimming (but stopped that some weeks ago)

Not by any stretch of the imagination could I be classed as ‘tech savvy’ however face time up and running on the phone, so many squeals and laughter from them on our debut call!!

A heartfelt thanks to all our NHS staff and to Maz and the team for a window of sanity in a world gone ‘bonkers’.

Stay safe everyone.

Yes, we are adapting already and I, for one, will really appreciate “normal” when we get back to that stage. Yes, definitely a big thank you to Maz, Prof Harrison and the team and also to our nhs workers, posties, supermarket staff, lorry drivers, butchers, bakers and everyone else I have missed who deserve a mention!

My garden is starting to look good, just ordered my seeds for growing some basic veg in containers plus some blueberry plants which do well in pots. Also reading, baking, cooking, etc so we are all well fed.

Missing the grandkids but FaceTime, WhatsApp, etc is brilliant! Where would we be without it. If anyone is lonely and needs to talk then we are all in a position to help one another so please say if anyone needs E company and E hugs!

Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻😻😻

Just realised how many bread ends don't get eaten , so as of today it is bread and butter pudding when I have saved enough 'knobs'.
