I’m really “enjoying” all the sweet helpful replies. Hopefully as I become more knowledgeable I can start giving some advice. Right now I’m still in the learning stage. I see the doc today to see what meds I’ll need. I see a lot of replies on fatigue ( which I have) a lot on headaches ( which I have) but not a lot on dizziness which I’ve just started to experience more than usual. Isn’t this dangerous? I’m thinking of showers, working in the yard, walking the dog..... little leary about being out. I can just see myself fainting in the middle of Walmart!!! Had to stop several times yesterday while cleaning and go lay down. Can’t do that while shopping. Good luck to all of my new friends.

I had the odd episode of dizziness prior to starting aspirin and hydroxycarbamide. I don’t get them anymore, so hopefully the same may apply to you too.

Hi Scrollernut, you have my every sympathy regarding the dizziness, I used to get it really bad, it was one of the symptoms that I kept complaining about prior to my diagnosis. I used to get spells of them in stages, could go for ages without any and then they would hit me, however, once I stared the Hydroxycarbamide it was much better, I get them very very occasionally now, and not too bad that I can't function. Hopefully it will all settle down soon for you. Best wishes, Maz

Hi Scrollernut. My headaches disappeared within a week of starting my daily aspirin. I hope the same for you.

Won’t help because I have migraines and bursitis so I take aspirin all the time. This headache just won’t go away. Oh well. See what the doc says later.

Hi there. How’s your water intake? May just be worth upping it especially if you’re drinking less than a couple of litres a day. Hope you feel better very soon.

Yeah I am bad about drinking water! Trying to drink more. Keep a water bottle in the car and at church and drink a small glass before I make my tea. Do love my sweet tea!! Yeah the doc mentioned inner ear but was pretty sure not MPN related because I’m not on meds yet. Waiting for bone marrow biopsy to be scheduled.

Lots of reasons why you might be having dizziness, which is a real pain to have. Certainly can understand why it would be a concern. Can be anything from a MPN-related issue -- ear infection -- dehydration -- reaction to meds (BP medicine did it to me) -- etc. etc. I hope you get some answers soon.

Do keep reading and learning. Regardless of how knowledgeable you feel your support and experiences are always welcome. We are stronger together.
