Hello all, I finally managed to see the doctor at Haematology I've been trying to have an appointment with since the beginning of this year. So, one disinterested doctor and two Haemo Nurses down the line, I had a good consultation. On my last visit to the nurse, I informed her I had decided to come off Hydroxy for a few weeks to see if I felt any better. My platelets stayed within the 350 to 450 range for two months. Blood test two weeks before the one for my Haemo appointment showed 470. However, the Dr informed me that although the other blood cell count was normal my platelets have risen in that short time to 600. So......back on the Hydroxycarbamide with Lanzoprazole to counteract acid from the Aspirin. I tried, yet again to find out my percentage Allelle Burden but she said "we don't place any importance on that as it will change from time to time since the BMB was done.....so I remain in ignorance as she didn't give me it! So that's where I am at present ,hopefully Hydroxy will suit me better now and reduce my platelets back to normal as they were. Regards to all,Fran
