Hair and Pegasys

Hi since starting Pegasys a few months ago I haven't had hair loss but my hair has become rather dry and brittle. Can anyone recommend any shampoos and conditioners available in the UK that could help? Thanks

Good morning Hall2. I have beening using Pegasys since June 2018 and initially had no hair loss. however, around 8 months ago I began to think my hair was thinning and perhaps 4 months ago, I realised it definitely is. The good thing is that it is gradual and now, my dose has been reduced from weekly to fortnightly. So I am hoping the thinning will slow down.

Regarding condition. Mine too became brittle and lacked condition. I have long had a love of TIGI Bed Head products and for my hair, I find Colour Goddess Shampoo and Elasticate Conditioner absolutely fantastic. My hair is now in better condition than it was prior to the treatment. The shine that those products give is amazing. I am always getting comments now about the lovely shiny hair I have!

If you give them a try, I'm sure you will soon see the benefits. I tend to put the elasticate all over but wash off immediately. that way, I am able to give my very thin hair a bit of body!

Of course, I don't know what type of hair you have but mine is very fine and has been coloured, using Koleston coulours for a good few years now.

I hope this helps you. All the best Penelope

Hello Thanks for your reply. I also have my hair coloured. These products you have used sound good. Are they available in places like Boots?

Hi hall2,

I tend to pay more for hair products now. I have my hair highlighted about 3 / 4 times per year and on my hairdressers recommendation I use Keune products. It’s a Dutch company and I don’t think available in Boots etc. I buy mine from my hairdresser. There are different ranges for different hair types, I use the Satin Oil range.

Good luck in finding something that suits you. I wouldn’t use anything else now.

Thanks for your reply, I've used Aussie before I was on Pergasys so I could try it again and I'll look at the Argan oil.

Hi Hall2. I use the Aveda Invarti range of shampoo, conditioner and oil treatment. It has certainly stopped and reversed the thinning of my hair, but these products are quite expensive. Cheers. Mark

Just wanted to add that I also use the Aveda invati products and have found them really helpful. I was pretty sceptical they would make a difference but they really did.
