Just to update you all.

Hello hope you are all feeling ok on this wet and windy weekend.

I have been successful in obtaining a blue badge. This will be a great asset. I’m ET jak2 +

I’ve got ET and other health conditions, the blue badge would be handy, what did you have to say to get one ? Did you have to get a letter from your haematologist or did they contact the Haemotology department?

I sent copies of letters I’ve had from heam and respiratory departments. Wrote a desk of the illnesses. Sent a photo and utility into prove address. It’s all don in line. Sometimes they invite you too an interview. . Good luck give it a try.

Please tell me how you managed to do this. I am also ET and JAK2+. some days I manage well but many days the mental and physical fatigue is extremely debilitating. I am managing at present to keep working but it is becoming increasingly difficult and I struggle with parking at a distance from my workplace. this would be a heck of a bonus if I was successful.

You apply to your council online application. Answer the questions and write how your illness effects you. It’s easy to follow and you send letter of proof have illness. Let me know haha you get on or if you need any other advice.

Thank you. I thought I would be awaiting a doctor's letter before I could proceed but I will get on with that now.
