Hypothyroidism and Hydro

Hi. My hypothyroidism is a mess right now 8,49 with 4,67 the upper normal. Just wondering if Hydroxyurea had anything to do with that? It has been many months since I had a test and suddenly this. Any of you that had similar condition?

Hi Kelly, I have had an under active Thyroid for many years, also take thyroxine along with my Hydroxycarbamide which I have been taking for six years also my ET levels have all been fine for the last six years too, so do not think it could be the Hydroxy I also have my Thyroid levels checked every six months which you should request from your GP so that they can adjust your medication if needed, that’s if you take anything of course.

Think you will find that there are a few people on here who also have thyroid problems and take Hydroxycarbamide.

Maybe the problem occurred because I was taking Vit. D shortly after the Thyrohormone.

Maybe you need to space out your tablets allowing at least 10 minuets between each, its best to take thyroxin first thing in the morning with water, also I take my Hydroxycarbamide after my breakfast, but some people take it of a night time which might help.

I read that one must take Vit. D, 3-4 hours after thyroxin!
