Red painful swelling hands

The palms of my hands are always bright red and throb and very itchy any body get painfull red hands I've ET

Hi. Yes my hands get red too. But mainly it's my face that sometimes gets bright red and hot and it's very awkward sometimes it I'm out shopping etc as I find it embarrassing which makes it worse ! I carry a small water spray with me to cool down.

Oh that red faced thing! I don’t necessarily have to feel overheated generally but if the atmosphere is warm or I’ve been out walking and walk in somewhere that’s heated my face can look ridiculous. Someone the other day looked at me strangely and asked if I had make up on (for that read ‘You look like a clown’ / ‘Are you trying to cover up a bad tanning incident?’) I was slightly mortified. 🤣

Hi, I have PV I have always got red hands that swell and itch like mad sometimes . On occasion people have noticed and asked if I have burnt my hand not sure who gets more embarrassed me or them.

Hi there,

On being diagnosed with ET Jak2 pos I also had symptoms resembling yours on both hands and feet. Erythromelalgia was diagnosed and managed by daily aspirin.I take 15oomg of hydroxycarbamide daily for my condition along with many others, I found the symptoms troublesome for a few months then redness but no great discomfort.
