Scottsdale Conference

Hi I live in London and have recently been diagnosed with prefibrotic Myelofibrosis. My son and his family live in Tucson and he has sourced a conference that is being held in Scottsdale, Phoenix. He really would like to attend but apparently it is full. Does anyone know anything about this. He has not been able to find a contact number.

Hi,

Try getting in touch with PatientPower in the US (email noreply@patientpower.info or just Google it). The MPN advocate is Andrew Schorr. The odds are that he will know about the conference or be able to give advice.

Good luck

John

Sorry, I just saw this post. The conference is at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and is held every 2 years in late February/March. My wife and I attended this year for the first time as I was diagnosed with mf a year ago, and we live in British Columbia so its a couple hour flight to get there. It was a suburb conference - very well organized and presented, and we took much knowledge and information away. I would highly recommend attending if you can, besides, the weather there at that time of year is perfect, not too hot, nice and sunny, and a change from the rain!

Here is a link to the group that runs it:

You can see info, pics, etc on the 2019 conference on that link as well.

cheers

Thanks David - my son managed to get a place on the one in Scottsdale this year so was great. I go to the annual one at Guys Hospital in London as that is my treatment centre.

Thanks for contacting me
