Tens machine

Hi anyone use a tens machine for back pain. Bought one after being recommended to use one by my gp and on the instructions says don’t use if have cancer! Thanks in advance

Hi, I have been using a tens machine for severe pain on my right knee need to have another TKR as this one has now gone. Was at Hospital Haematology two weeks ago and all bloods were normal, think what they say is just a precaution like everything. I do know that anyone with a pace maker of any kind must not use. If unsure speak with your Haematology nurse if you have one.

When I had my left leg done four years ago in recovery they put floating boots on me, and these also had the same effect as a tens.

But as I say speak with you Haematology dept.

I have two! Sometimes I would be almost immobile if I didn't use them. I've had them for years and have come to any harm yet😀 I'm triple neg E.T. Go for it they're excellent.

I have one that I use for back pain, have used for many years when I need it. Have not had a problem thus far. Ask your doctor to be sure, maybe they know. Best wishes on your journey.

Yes, I have a Tens machine. I'm PV on hydroxy and asprin. I checked with my haem last week and she said it was fine, but everyone is different, so suggest you check with yours

I also have a tens machine long before my pacemaker was fitted but my pain doctor arranged for me to have a test done in the Cardiology clinic who confirmed that it can be used, but advised me not to use it if it makes me giddy or sick, so far that hasn’t happened.
