Had venesection number 7. today managed to get a quick word with the very busy consultant who looked confused when I asked him about my diagnosis a letter was sent to my doctor 3 weeks ago confirming I have prv with Jak 2 mutation v617f. No one thought of telling me though. I also asked him if I could have copies of my blood tests no can do was his answer not as easy as it sounds. I wonder how busy these people are. The guy takng my blood for the last 7 weeks is retired now works as bank staff. Still thanks for mazcd for reminding me to write down the questions.

All your blood results and any tests should go back to your GP. My hospital couldn’t/wouldn’t give me any of my blood results either, so I get a print out from the GP surgery at my own convenience.

I get the doc to read the blood results off the screen at my outpatient appt, write them down in my diary then and there: Hb platelets whites HCT

I don't have a problem getting the print out of my bloods at my hospital in Norwich. Love the 'libra' diagnosis, thought maybe your birthday was in October like mine. I might use that line myself 🙂

I ask for a print out of my blood results after every apt with my haem who is keen to supply. I guess it doesn’t take much to hit print screen and print 😀
