Normal to have chest pain?

I was diagnosed with PV about 16 months ago. My numbers are not off the chart like I see with a lot of other people but I have off and on chest pain. I have blood drawn approximately every 6 weeks and I am on baby aspirin. Is it normal to have chest pain especially as I have been told my treatment is controlled?

Hi Alex, no it is not normal to have chest pains, you need to go and see your doctor about these, today. Maz

Hi Alex. Any symptom you start experiencing on a regular basis should be looked into by your dr. I started experiencing weird on/off chest discomfort last year and I ended up needing stents. I would definitely speak to a dr about it. Also if you ever break out in a cold sweat when having these pains, go to the emergency room immediately.

Thank you for that information. I went to a new GP today and was impressed as they really seemed to have it together! I spoke with her of the chest pain and my side hurting and she is referring me over to a cardiologist.
