Any of you ladies know if we are allowed to have microblading semi permanent brow tattoo? I read somewhere that when on drugs it is not allowed?

Brow tattoo
Hi Kelly
I'm sorry but it is defiinitely not recommemded if you are on anti-coagulants because of bleeding risk and also because bleeding evidently dilutes and affects the dye in some way.
I looked into it a while ago and because I am on warfarin it was contra-indicated
Sorry - I stick to my trusty old eye brow pencils !
Love Dianne
I am thinking of having a go at it. I will stop the aspirin for some days to do it. I had a cleaning at the dentist having forgotten to stop it and nothing happened. I think once in Hydroxyurea it is not allowed? So it will be just for once. I decided to have all the things that will probably not be allowed once on the drug. So tomorrow I have an appointment for keratin treatment Like a convict enjoying his last days of freedom
Hi Kelly, you should check this with your consultant or specialist nurse, especially if you are going to stop taking your aspirin. Maz
Hi Kelly
Hey I had my eye brows Tattooed about a year ago! They looked really great! Still do. You could hardly see my brows, had to use a pencil daily! The only problem was my brows kept bleeding because of the aspirin I am taking daily. But in saying that they still look great and are a lot darker than they were. Next time I might stop my aspirin for a few days before. All the best Lyn x
👍👍👍 yes always do that. Even for the dentist etc.
Hi Kelly I would love to have it done also I’m on Asprin & Hydroxy couldn’t have it done because of the drugs😒☹️ So have to cont with a brow pencil

Hi Kelly,
I have been on aspirin for many year and have had several tatoos. although not brow, in that time, never stopped the aspirin had no problems. I am now on Hydroxy as well and had my great grand sons name tattooed on my foot with not problems. Must admit did not ask heamo if it was advisable.
Good luck

Hi
Just came back from my keratin treatment. So as long as it does not contain formaldehyde there is no problem for us. Now about the brows, she says she does not do it to people with cancer or who take blood thinners. Could Maz ask on behalf of us women? I think it is very important as it is a life saver to get rid of the brow pencil!
Hi there,
well, I have asked my doctors and they said it was fine...and I have had semi permanent make up since 1992.... No problems occured, what so ever (I refill about every 18 months-ish).
I have been on Warfarin ( I had a refill meanwhile) and now on Clopidogrel, Hydrea, Propranolol and Omeprazole.
So, talk to your doctor.
Well I had my brow tattoo and it was worth it!! I can’t believe I don’t have to use the pencil anymore! Soon I will go for the touch up. ❤️
