I was diagnosed with MPN this year at 26 years old. I have ET/Jak2+. I notice my heart starts racing sometimes while I eat or when I get up. I’m not a very active person but doesn’t anyone know if this is normal? Does this happen to anyone at all?
(I want to start running a few times a week to get active and healthy again)

I have ET jak +. I get a racing heart but do have an abnormality .
I wake up sometimes and it's racing and I notice it happens more when I'm stressed .... I would get it checked at your doctors if only to put your mind at rest ... Best wishes. Pippa
Hi Cathy, are you on any treatment? I had heart arrhythmia before diagnosis (ET/JAK+ like you). I think it happened because my platelets spiked. I take 2 baby aspirins now and it’s improved. My platelets are hovering around 600K. Hope your doctor can help you, best wishes.
Heart racing and high blood pressure was the original symptom that led me to the doctor and subsequently a PV diagnosis. I am now on a mild blood pressure med as well interferon that normalised my blood counts and the heart racing incidents have been much reduced. In your case, it would be good to do some tests and an ECG to rule out other problems. Susana x
