Anyone else noticed finger splits on rux

For the past few months been getting a number of finger splits which are both trivial and painful. can make getting pills out of tight packaging very difficult. rarely use soap just cold water to wash hands in day but if cooking may wash 5-10 times when making a meal. Anyone else had this problem or got a solution to it.

Hello Skodaguy,

Yes I suffer with gashes in fingertips usually during the winter months. Nothing to do with any medication. Frequent wetting of hands and also exposing hands to cold weather seems to be the cause. There are strategies to overcome this. I always wear gloves when I am outside in the cold, in order to keep hands warm at all times. Using a proper hand wash rather than soap, and of course wearing rubber gloves when washing dishes and good hand cream afterwards and maybe even cotton gloves in bed.
