Persistent Cough

Hi all

I just wanted to ask if anyone has suffered from a very long term cough and if it may be at all related to my mpn? I am 38 and have PV jak2+. I'm currently just on Aspirin and venesections every 4 weeks or so with my platelets hanging around the 1450 mark but recently have drifted above 1500 and gone down again. I have had a cough now for around 5 weeks. During this time I did work pretty solidly for three weeks in a quite dusty environment so was blaming that but I have been back for a couple of weeks now and it has not subsided. It's a tickly type flemy cough that I can always feel and causes coughing fit every few minutes. Not dehabilitating and more just an annoyance and probably not related to anything but thought I would ask if anyone else had similar experiences. Cheers Joe.

Hi, probably worth a trip to the GP unless u had a cold or similar before hand - this always gives me a cough that lasts weeks. But a cough with no original cause? Better check.

I had a cough for around 8 weeks and X-rays showed nothing. Two lots of antibiotics didn’t help. It finally went but two weeks later it’s back along with a cold! I assume my immune system is low due to ET
