After such an awful day yesterday I have woken up feeling relatively normal - what a strange illness this is! A big thank you for the support received yesterday......

So glad to hear it, I on the other hand feel like I've been run over by a bus and have a burning feeling in my stomach. Probably my first hydroxy I took yesterday. Hope you continue to have good days skipper.

Best wishes lainy 😙

Poor you - but I'm sure it can't be a side effect of the HU yet - probably like me you were terrified of starting a toxic drUg - how one feels each day is so variable x

Thanks Mel, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Really staying well hydrated must be helping.

Hope your well

Lainy 🤗

Oh the years I've strived to be normal - from well before the ET kicked in!!

(pleased you're feeling ok - hope it lasts)

Best wishes

Lizzie

hi skipperl

i read a few months ago from someone with pv and jak2 that she/he planned their activities. i have found that if i have moderate activity one day to rest the next, for a full day, i rest for two following days. i am 75 and still fairly active and i hope still fairly sharp. i have also discovered when i push myself my i.q. / common sense takes a nose dive. so listen to your body and keep on reading these blogs. they have helped me immensely.

Thanks Lizzie, few things falling into place with diagnosis. Just thought it was old age at 48 hee hee. Hope your doing well too.

Best wishes lainy xx

You are right - one must be sensible. Unfortunately when I feel well I probably overdo it - I am 78 but always have felt much younger. Yesterday was a really good day but today I went down with a bad bout of vertigo ( labrinthitis) which has no connection with any of my other ailments - so now I am marooned in bed taking more pills. A forced rest!

Good for you x

Thanks, but in the intervening time since I posted I have had a really bad time being struck down with BPPV ( vertigo) and was unable to get off the bed for days. Meds and Physio are making me better slowly - but it is depressing - what next I wonder! My HB seems to be dropping again - maybe they will give me another transfusion - I felt really good after the last one - but it doesn't seem to be enduring.
