Yesterday I had a venesection. I hadn't had one for 12 weeks and to be honest I was struggling. I think for me it should be every 8 weeks max. Today I feel 20 years younger!! I had to take 2 days off work this week to deal with fatigue and now I feel like nothing has ever been wrong. ☺ Feeling good.

hi, when you say venesection do you mean when they draw blood? do people report feeling tired after this? why do you feel 20 years younger, just a weight off of you?

Yes, venesection is when blood is drawn off. It's also known as a phlebotomy.

oh... I agree with you, it should be more like 8 weeks! I asked about why you feel 29 years younger, because I feel like that at times too, when I've gotten a good report back on levels, or read something encouraging. It's amazing how affirmation makes you feel so much younger!

For me the fatigue gets worse as time goes on between venesections as my red blood cells and hct build up. Also aches and pains become more frequent. It was a huge relief to get it done and probably as you say an added psychological effect of something being done.

Yes after phlebotomy some people feel tons of better

I have initial two phlebotomy and after that i feel same like u and it continues till date.its now 5months after first phlebotomy and blood looks quite good
