Hello Holly

It does sound like restless leg syndrome and if it becomes really annoying a quick trip to your GP and he/she should be able to give you something to stop it. In the meantime a warm flannel rubbed up and down your legs might give you some relief - it used to me. I don't get it very often now and when I do, I head for bed (if it's appropriate) as it goes along with tiredness which is maddening as it stops one sleeping anyway.

Best wishes,

Linda

Hi Holly, Got the same problem , I think you do have RLS but go speak to your doctor, mine gave me some little pills called 'Ropinerol' works a treat , otherwise I am jumping around like a jack- rabbit. Gets bad during the evening but I resist taking them until I go to bed , then I get a night sleep. (hopefully). Good luck Holly. June x

Hi Holly, I have had restless legs for years! Started hydroxy last year and feel its getting worse! I'm very reluctant to take yet more pills, I'm on so many! So I will have sessions of laying on the floor with my bottom against the wall and my legs up the wall. An older friend in her eighties told me this resets things or something! (anything is worth a try) mainly though I use Decleor Circulagel, the gel is made of essential oils, camphor, arnica and menthol, which are absorbed by the skin very quickly and are very soothing. More than one application is needed for something like restless legs, its also great for headaches, put on temples and back of neck. Any aches, pains or puffiness, love it😙 Carole.

Hi Carol ,thank you for the advice, i will try this ! im not keen on taking anymore pills either .it seems to be a commen thing RLS , one of my friends suffers with it and she is fit and healthy , not on any meds at all , so i guess its an age related problem .. take care Holly x

I must try that Bridie, there is another thing to do,lie flat on a bed or floor with a rolled bath towel underneath from base of neck along to base of spine for one minute, morning and evening. It is supposed to aligne the spine, lifts the diaphragm. For some reason I have not done it lately, will start again. Was told to me by a retired physio that I met.I do massage legs and back with arnica oil,tho I end up exhausted....as Holly says ,I do not want more pills.I cannot take Ibuferen,as I take Plavix, really Paracetamol does not work that well ,but sometimes during the night I do take one. Thanks for tips, anything natural is worth trying.Best to all Sally x

Sorry eating and typing doesn't go well together 😂

Anyway myRLS has started earlier in the afternoon now when I'm trying to rest. We have had a previous post about this. I take Gabapentin and it does help but I've taken it for so long now it's not working as well.

Hi Holly I had that when I stopped HU it lasted for weeks was the weirdest feeling, do not remember it while I was taking HU. I can relate to the weird feeling, I felt like I had to get up and walk but mine was more like a pulling sensations I do remember it well and have not had much of it since. It could be the HU but then again be just ET. Best wishes, Mickey
