Eye migraines
For many years I experienced migraines that caused pain behind my left eye and continued down and into the left side of my neck. These days were difficult because I needed to be at work since I am single. Whether my migraines were caused by PV or not I will never find out. I no longer have such migraines because I have also been diagnosed with PAH-Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Sleep Apnea and Asthma. My pain has been eliminated with additional drugs for these additional diagnosis and use of a CPAP at night. My PAH and sleep apnea are due to MY history of undergoing 4 PEs in less than 8 years because of PV.
Hi, yes I have PV and perhaps about 8-10 times a year I experience visual disturbances and sometimes headaches. Once at work on the computer, the letters on the doc I was typing started dropping out of line and then back again! Scary but was reassured by an optician. My haem does think it is related to the PV. It is more likely to happen, be more intense and lasts longer if I am due a venesection. Hope that helps. I think the answer is to get any new symptoms checked out by the medics - it is so easy to blame PV for everything new. Kind regards Aime xx😺😺
I have been on Hydrea for over 5 years now I began taking mine at bedtime due to known side effects I take 1,000 nightly and sleep most all side effects off I also take supplements like garlic, ginko vitamin d3, vitaminC and 81 mg of aspirin I've truly had no problems
