Skin blemishes
I have them for years, years before ET, not on my arms but on my belly. You could be talking bruises under the skin and that is on my hands. I think that comes from aspirin?. The spots I have for years is on my belly and they are bright red tiny spots have had them for years and years way before ET. The ones on my hands are bruises under the skin they come and go.
Yes I have them cat woman, chest, arms some on legs.I have a blemish on my left cheek which arrived along with red hands around my diagnosis,The one on my face itches sometimes, then the skin peels,is OK for a while ,then comes back!.Worse when I am stressed or tired. Not madly noticeable, but to me it is.I am P V,I bruise also with the smallest knock,my fingers and wrists are black and blue, doing plants in pots today.I think it's all to do with our M P N,no one seems to know,I use vit e oil and old fashioned Vaseline on my face one, arnica on bruising..Best wishes to you ,I am sure it is not a major problem, but I guess very common,Keep Well.
try searching petechia. my haem says no worries unless i get a rash of very tiny petechia -usually on ankles - which indicate very low platelet counts from bleeding under the skin ( i have MF). i have lots of the pin-head sized red dots which sound like what u have - i don't like them either - but apparently harmless and multiple causes.
Hi, yes lots, tiny ones on my arms, bigger ones on my torso. Yes it's connected to ET and now my MF. Doc says no issue. Best wishes. Xx
I have ET but have had these way before I was diagnosed. I first noticed them when I was pregnant with my son. They are not a rash as they do not go away. Not bothered about them as I have had them for 20 years and they areally small. I probably get a few more every year.
hi Holly. I have them all over me. I have PV. I started noticing them many years ago though. Although I suppose none of us really knows when our condition started to develop. X
Hi Holly,
I have them too, mostly on my torso. Some like a rash, others, quite big blood spots. I first noticed them about 18 months before I was diagnosed. I stared having laser treatment to remove them but more would come so I stopped when I was diagnosed as I figured they were to do with the ET and it was a waste of money.
I also get it after flying (long haul) around my lower legs which gets very itchy and a red rash for a few days.
I haven't bothered to mention it to my consultant though.
Lots of love. 😘
Thanks everyone 😃x
