Pain symptomatic of Gout in foot for last 10 days, given Naproxen, completed dose but pain worse than ever, have ET, I'm on HU and aspirin.

Working in Khazakstan, health care difficult, what can I safely take to ease pain?

Doctor gave my hubby Allupurin to take away side effect of gout whilst taking HU...sorry I can't help on what other meds you should take and hope you find a solution soon....

HI Flaxy, sorry to hear that you are in pain, I don't have gout but I do know that it can be very painful. With regards to pain relief you will need to speak to your GP or haematologist so that they can advise you as they will have to take into account the other medication you are taking. I realize this might be difficult as you are in Khazakstan. I hope you get something sorted out soon. Maz

Thanks to both of you for for the replies. Armanimick - Doc here has given me Allopurinol and Diclofenac, so seems reasonable.

Maz, I will get in touch with Haematologist as soon as I can, I think it's just the Diclofenac to be careful of.
