Did your haematologist recommend a blood thinning tablet ? Sometimes it's aspirin?
I think you need more discussion with your doctor.sometimes you need more direction .
You can't just medicate yourself ,you need expert advice, my team at the clinic I attend are very positive in giving me medication.I always feel they are the experienced in these illnesses ,I ask questions ,they give me the answers.if you have to wait ,send an email ,or use the phone ,don't sit at home and worry, that makes you feel worse i find..
I hope when you go for your next appointment ,your results will give you new encouragement,.the main thing to remember is you have the back up of this group,it's good to bounce your thoughts off another who has your pains and aches,I have learned much from these buddy's ,,,,,twinkly ,I went for my ultra sound scan Friday ,,I'm beaming ,the lady doctor said," you have the liver and spleen of a 30 year old"

Hi spikesnana, I have spoken to Prof Harrison for you she has said that there are multiple indications for prescribing hydroxycarbamide, not just platelet levels, but also red cells and white cells levels. You will need to discuss this further with your haematologist and ask him/her to explain to you why you have been prescribed Hydroxycarbamide. I hope this help. Kind regards, Maz
Thank you . Do you know anything about high eosonphils
Hi, Prof Harrison has advised that Hydroxycarbamide can be used to treat high eosinophil, you might find the information on the Mayo Clinic website of use mayoclinic.org/symptoms/eos...
