I suffer from really dry eyes. My optician says that my tear film volume is very low and breaks up quickly.

I have had E.T. for 9 years and have been on hydroxycarbamide for over 8 years. Just wondered if anyone else who has a MPD and/or is on hydroxy suffers from the same condition.

Hi mol56, I have PV, not on any meds apart from anti-histamines and controlled by venesection. Last year the optician prescribed Viscotears gel as my eyes were the same as yours. It does make a big difference to the tired, sore feeling. The gel is easier to apply than the runny liquid version. I am blaming my PV. Kind regards Aime

Hi there,

Sea Buckthorn capsules from the health shop (quite pricey) but natural and no side effects is known for this kind of thing.

I have had ET for 7 years and have suffered with dry eyes for several of those years. Gel tears seem to help, but I have to use regularly.
