Anyone feel worse in the winter ?

In the last month I have felt more fatigued than usual. I had my bloods checked last week and no change since Sept. Just wondering whether this gloomy and cold weather has anything to do with it ??

Yeah I've been feeling a lot more fatigued the lsst two or three weeks, my sweats have got worse too.

I think the weather does affect our conditions, I find taking vitamin D (hormone) tablets help a lot plus plenty of oily fish in the diet, like salmon or trout helps me emotionally and mentally too.

I hope you pick up soon.

Hi Ruby, definatly worse now it is getting colder and darker. First ever chilblain!

I take cod liver oil and have just started Tumeric capsules with optimism.

Most important is to get well wrapped up, get out and have an energetic walk every day. It makes me feel much better physically and emotionally to blow away the cobwebs.

The night sweats have got worse but my feet are freezing, and I get cramp in my lower legs and feet. There should be an award for the patient spouse trying to sleep through the disturbed night caused by ET!

In just over a month the days will start to get longer, try to be positive, and keep a supply of chocolate available,

Best Wishes,

Borage

Borage, I love your advice, I always feel better after a good walk with my dog, and I always always have chocolate within reach. Ruby I hope you perk up, I do think it's worse on the long, cold dark days, but as Borage says, it won't be long before the days get longer. Maz

Yes I agree I do feel better for a good walk with my dogs, even in horrendous weather like today!

Chocolate is always somewhere in the house!

Interesting that others feel the same in this weather.

Hi Guys, my hubby bought me one of SAD lamps which does seem to help the seasonal feelings. A walk and definitely chocolate helps!!!! I wish I had bought shares in cadbury's! I think treating your self to something like a new top or shoes or something you have fancied helps. Also arranging to have a coffee with a friend. It doesn't get rid of the fatigue but you feel better even though you are shattered.

My night sweats, itch, etc are all worse just now even though my hct is .42. The itch was worse after my shoulder op when I discovered I was allergic to the dressings which had been put on in excess and were ripped off quickly and really irritated that large patch of skin. From there a lot of areas have become irritated too. I woke up soaked in sweat this morning, got up showered and then froze for a couple of hours!! Oh the joys! So glad I can moan to you all and you understand. Regards Aime x
