Hi, I've just read Aime's question re. iron rich foods etc & the reply. Does anybody have any answers to the same question for those (with PV) on Hydroxycarbamide? I'm suffering the same symptoms...

Hi Fleetpete, do you have any venesections at all or is it just hydroxy you are on? I know it is important to keep the volume of red blood cells down but this tiredness through iron deficiency is a real pain as far as fatigue goes - as you will know! Sorry you are in the same boat! Regards

Hi Aime, no the venesections are very rare now, can't remember the last one in fact. Just Hydroxy at the moment...it really is a viscous circle 'innit'!!! At the GP on Tuesday, see what he/she has to say; if anything interesting (you never know) I will post. As ever & to all members of our very special community...keep strong!
