Hi,
This is a strange question but does anyone know why taking a low dose of Lycopene would suddenly help migraines?
Thanks.

No idea! But what prompted you to take it? I notice that the current poll is about keeping a migraine diary-which can be useful when you think you have discovered a trigger or a cure! Need to find out if it is a coincidence. Thank you for posting this though. I found out through a post (on health unlocked q and a for another condition) that a medicine I had recently stopped might have been helping damp down the migraines as well as what I was taking it for!
Anyway, my theory is that if something seems to work this is a good place to check it out as the Migraine Centre experts will soon tell us if things are not a good idea! Cheers, Angie
I just started taking it for better health really with no idea it would help my migraines. I was getting a lot - every 3/4 days - so anything I can do to cut them down is great. I often find that my migraines work around it in the end and return but I'm enjoying this lull whilst it lasts. I've read that Lycopene can help circulation so wondered if that was why it helped migraines but don't know.
Thanks for your reply.
Mike
Is it the stuff that's found in tomatoes, or have I got that completely wrong?
Yes, but in supplement form.
