I was just wondering how many aura migranes other people get in a month. I seem to get 3 on average. But them some months I can get 10 plus.

Are you taking magnesium( there are many types but what has worked for me is magnesium glycinate? 3x a day for me and I have added Feverfew. Both have changed my life.

I don't get Auras with my migraines..

Thanks for this information. I've been reading up on Magnesium for migraine lately and there's definitely a link for some people. Are you able to share exactly which supplement you take? I've been trying 400mg daily of Solgar's chelated magnesium (seems to be a mix of magnesium bisglycinate and oxide, I know the oxide is not much use) for a few weeks now but not noticed much difference. How long after you started taking it did you start to notice a difference.

Thanks very much and I hope you continue to get relief.

The key for me is taking 1 100mg 3x a day. I can feel it work and then about noon time come back when I take the second one it goes away.

I think there are 4-5 different types. I use magnesium glycinate. If you have taken it for 3 months and don't see a difference I would switch. So many studies show that people who have migraines have low magnesium.

The Feverfew also helps, but it makes me gain weight. I take that 1x a day.

I don't need anything else and when I do it is a triptan.

But I was talking to many and gave myself rebound headaces so I stopped for 6 weeks and I am a new person.

Good luck

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if you stick to a particular brand of magnesium? I'm based in the UK, not sure where you are based? Feverfew was the next thing to try if I didn't get relief from magnesium alone, so am pleased it helps you.

For a while I would get a couple a week. Now I’ve only had 1 in 6 months. I think our bodies go thru changes and it’s such a roller coaster! What do you do to try to prevent?
